MISSION

A few years back, I sat down with my grandma and we went through a box of her old black and white photographs. She pulled out each photo and told me the story of how she fell in love with my grandpa. She talked about his great dancing skills, his smile and his charming personality. Those little photos with their white borders transported me back to the 1950s and I could hear their scratchy records playing, feel the summer breeze in their convertible, envision the red velvet of her bridesmaids’ dresses and hear the joyous cheering of their wedding guests as they threw birdseed on the newlyweds. That box of film photographs took me on their journey of love and was the beginning of our family story.

My grandma was in a tragic accident shortly after that day and she has since passed away, but those photographs keep those beautiful memories living on in my heart and will be a heritage for my future children and grandchildren.

I am not just a photographer of pretty photos, but I am a preserver of love, relationships and family stories. That is my mission.

I choose to use film photography has my medium to capture these moments. My grandparents’ photographs shot on film are still timeless sixty years later and I want the film photographs I capture for you to be timeless in sixty years and beyond. I want your grandchildren to look through your box of photographs and learn about your love story. I would be honored to help preserve these memories for your family.
