Oh my gosh! I am so excited to post these photos from Nicole and Dale’s trash the dress session. Trash the dress or day after sessions are probably my favorite sessions to shoot. I love that the couple wears their wedding attire, but we are free to go anywhere and do anything! Two days after Nicole and Dale’s wedding at the Paris Hotel, my good friend and fellow photographer, Jessie of Speckled Bird Art, picked us all up and we headed up into the gorgeous mountains outside of Las Vegas. A lot of people don’t get to see this part of Las Vegas and it is so beautiful! I am so glad Nicole and Dale were up to braving the 100+ degree heat for this session!
Let me just say, I had SO many favorites from this session. I starred about half of the session as my favorite! Nicole, you looked freakin’ amazing! Dale, thanks for looking great in that gray suit although it was so hot. Ya’ll totally rocked it! Thank you so much for having us take these photos for you!

And the best way to end a photo session? Taking your clients to In ‘n’ Out Burger for the first time! Cheeseburger animal style with a chocolate shake for me! Soooo yummmmy! Here they are sporting their hats!

Vegas!!! When I tell people that I have shot weddings in Vegas, they look at me with that, “Are you serious?” face. I know, I know, when you think of Vegas you think of all those movies with the super, scary Wedding Chapels and they are a little shocked when I tell them I have couples getting married in Vegas. No, people! It’s not like that! When Nicole first called me and told me she was planning on getting married in Vegas, I was super excited for her! I sat down with her and told her about the weddings I had shot in Vegas and how beautiful the Paris Hotel was and how wonderful it would be! I was SO excited that she wanted us to go with her and document her wedding day! Loved it! The Paris Hotel is such a great hotel with lots of neat spots. I was SO sad when I saw that their beautiful fountain on the front was under construction, but I knew it would force me to be even more creative. Especially on this crazy, 110 degree day! Some of my favorite photos were taken in their hotel room, just relaxing right after the ceremony. So fun! Nicole and Dale are so sweet together! I have LOVED photographing them and they are so comfortable in front of the camera! Makes my job easy!
I have more photos from their AWESOME trash the dress session that we did up in the mountains of Las Vegas which I will post soon! But first, their wedding at the Paris Hotel!

Yay! I am so excited that I am finally posting these photos! I meet Heather earlier this year and I was so excited when she wanted to book us for her destination wedding at the infamous El Dorado Royale Resort in Riveria Maya outside of Cancun! Woohoo! Clint and I were so excited to go back to Mexico and super excited to capture Heather and Josh’s wedding! It may have been crazy hot, but Heather looked gorgeous and these two were SO happy together! I mean, seriously! It’s not hard to get amazing photos at a resort like this! It was so wonderful to be a part of their gorgeous wedding!

I am really, really excited to share these photos with you! Most weddings, I get a little nervous and anxious, but not with this one! I was SO excited to be photographing Shannon and Zack’s wedding. I really believe that God brings me all my clients and Shannon and her family were SO amazing to work with! Shannon’s mom, Colleen gets sweetest mother-of-the-bride award! I love her! So sweet and I am so blessed that I was able to be a part of this special wedding! Everything was so beautiful and classy! I loved it!

Wow! How do I sum this wedding up into a short paragraph!?! Let me just say, I wish you could have come with us! It was such a huge blessing to be a part of Caitie and Jon’s New York wedding! When I first Skyped with Caitie and Jon, we totally clicked and had tons of fun talking. They are such a fun, loving and laid back couple. We meet them for the first time the night before the wedding and you could just tell how special they were to their friends and family! I would nickname this wedding, “West Coast Meets East Coast.” Caitie and Jon’s families both vacation at the same spot in New England and that is how they meet! Despite some interesting remarks said and later relvealed about each other, these two started to like one another, enough that Caitie packed her bags and moved from New York to California to be with Jon! What a great story! And both their families seem like they mesh just perfectly together even though they live on opposite ends of the US!
Caitie and Jon had SO many family and friends travel from all over to be a part of their wedding, and I was so happy to be a part and get to know all of these wonderfully talented people! They were married on July 3 on a most gorgeous day in Oyster Bay on Long Island, New York! We took their first look photos on a dock of this beautiful mansion and I have to say, they are my favorite first look photos yet! SO awesome! Even Caitie’s brother mentioned in his toast that he got chills seeing them together on the dock!
Oyster Bay is Theodore Roosevelt’s hometown and they were married in his home church which was so cute! Loved it!
And let me just say, these guys know how to throw one killer party! They win the award for FUNNIEST RECEPTION EVER and LONGEST RECEPTION EVER! It was so fun, no one wanted to leave! Jon’s family is super musically talented and between the hilarious toasts and dancing, they basically had mini jam sessions and busted out some great classics! SO fun!
It was such a wonderful wedding and I am so thankful to Caitie and Jon for flying us all the way up to New York to be a part of it! Getting to know their family and friends was so great and I hope that we can party with them again in the future!
